The peach tree is rustic, but prefers temperate and warm weathers. Fits on all terrains, except those too wet. Does not like the excess of limestone, unless it is grafted with appropriate standards (plum, almond, ecc ...). Avoid planting a peach tree in a land where this species has been planted. Live around 10-25 years depending on planting conditions.
PRUNNING: The peach tree tolerate in bad way the pruning, because it causes secretions of gum. It takes place in February-March, at the beginning of flowering. The fruits are formed on the branches of the last year. Should retain only moderately vigorous young shoots with a wide angle of insertion.
